today's other readings are Psalm 146 and Mt. 13: 47-52

The image of the potter and the clay is one that truly brings a smile to my heart and soul.

A few thoughts for you - when you watch a potter work, what you notice is that the work is a bit messy and laborious - but when finished, the final product is beautiful.  But there are many stages along the way to get the finished product.

I like to think that there are many stages in our own faith journeys, just as the clay, in the hands of the potter, has to go through more than a few stages along the way.

And the Divine Potter, God, patiently works with us in a multitude of ways, people and circumstances that make up our lives, and in methods both seen and unseen.  But He is at work right now within you and me.

Thank you, Divine Potter.
