today's other readings are Psalm 131 and Lk. 14: 15-24
St. Paul, certainly did desire that we see the "big picture".
Today he reminds us of another "big picture" reality. That we are not just in a personal relationship with our God, but also in a communal relationship - with God and our fellow faithful that make up God's Church, the Body of Christ.
As he says, "We, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members of one another".
Then he points out some of the varied gifts that are given to individuals, but are then intended to be shared with the Church.
A question we can ponder today is how have we been sharing our gifts of time, talent, and treasure with the Body Of Christ, with God's church, and our parish?
