today's other readings are Wisdom 13: 1-9 and Lk. 17: 26-37
The heavens proclaim the glory of God. And the firmament proclaims His handiwork. How true that is.
People who are not religious sometimes ask me how they can find God. Knowing that examples such as being part of a Sunday Eucharist may not be speak to them in their current reality, I bring up an example that anyone can understand: God can be found in the world that He created. Take a beautiful sunset; a babbling stream, shaded with some glorious streams; or some glorious mountains. God can be found in the world He created.
This fact is affirmed in our first reading, in which the author cannot understand how anyone can can enjoy the glory of the created world and not see the Divine Hand of the One who made it. For it is so obvious!!
We bless and praise you, O God, for the world you have created.
